Her Future. Health and hygiene workshop

The Kuleana Group of Marangu, Moshi conducted a five days workshop training for heath teachers from 20 primary and secondary school. The workshop covered about health, hygiene and life skill education. 40 teachers and 10 invited guest participated in the workshop, the workshop was officially opened by Mr. Juma Tukosa who is the district secondary school education officer. The aim of the workshop was to train health teachers on proper way of dealing with students in school, how to train them on decision making, communication skills, relationship skills and proper menstrual education. The trained teachers will be required to spread the education in their schools, after the training girls will receive re usable menstrual kits, to help them during menstruation period. we expect 1000 girls will directly benefit by receiving the kits and other 3000 girls will receive proper menstrual education. This training is sponsored by the US embassy through Alumni Innovation Engagement Fund and it was facilitated by Stephen Makere, Catherine Njau, Hyasintha Ntuyeko, and Onesmo Ngowi.
